I am a 27-year-old Canadian, originally from Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, who has been living in Edinburgh for about two years now. I came to the city at the end of 2006 as a working holiday maker and stayed for over a year, earning my keep as a receptionist in a boutique hotel in the West End. When my visa ended, I decided that I loved the city and country so much that I would apply to return as a student and start my career here. I am now studying for an MSc in Journalism at Edinburgh Napier University. This blog contains a selection of my own musings and/or practice writing pieces done in class.
